The proof is on the wood

Before. After. The same beam.

Mold lives in the framing, the joists, the subfloor. Here is a board we treated. We do not paint over it or fog it and leave. We remove the growth and protect what is left.

What we do

Mold is the job. Radon and asbestos round it out.

We made a deliberate choice years ago to specialize. We are not a handyman that also does mold. We are a mold shop, with the licenses and the crew to handle the related hazards too.

Our flagship
01 · The core of what we do

Mold Remediation

Found mold, or smell it but cannot find it? We locate the source, contain the area so spores do not spread through your home, remove the growth at the framing, treat the surfaces, and address the moisture that caused it. You get a clean space and a written record of what we did.

Mold Testing & Inspection

Buying a house, selling one, or just not sure what is behind the drywall? We inspect and test so you have real answers instead of a guess. If you do not have a mold problem, we will tell you that too.

Radon Testing & Mitigation

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer and you cannot see or smell it. Central Indiana sits in a high-radon zone. We test, and if levels are high we install a mitigation system that vents it safely out of your home.

Asbestos Removal

Older homes hide asbestos in old tile, insulation, and pipe wrap. It is only dangerous when disturbed, which is exactly what happens during a remodel or a mold job. We remove and dispose of it the right way, by the book.

Who you are calling

A family shop, not a call center.

All in 1 Mold is run by Lisa and Bruce Fahnestock. Bruce is the one most folks know, "the Mold Man," and he is who you will talk to. When you call, you are not getting a national franchise reading a script. You are getting people who live here, who have done this for ten years, and who answer for the work.

Field note A lot of mold work gets oversold. If the right answer is a fan and a dehumidifier, that is what we will tell you. We would rather you trust us with the big job than scare you into a small one. Bruce, the Mold Man

Hancock, Shelby, and the east side.

We are based in Greenfield and cover roughly twenty miles outside the loop for standard jobs. For a big enough mold job, Bruce will travel across the state.

The field guide

Mold, in plain English.

We wrote down the questions people ask us every week. No jargon, no fear-selling, just straight answers.

The questions we get every week.

No jargon, no fear-selling. The honest answers we give people who call us, all in one place.

How do I know if I have mold in my house?
The usual signs are a musty, earthy smell, dark stains or fuzzy patches on walls or ceilings, peeling paint, and allergy-like symptoms that ease when you leave the house. Bathrooms, basements, crawlspaces, and anywhere there has been a leak are the common spots. If you are not sure, a quick inspection settles it. See our guide on the signs you have mold.
Is black mold actually dangerous?
For most healthy people the danger is real but usually overstated online. Black mold can trigger congestion, coughing, and aggravated asthma or allergies, and it hits kids, older adults, and anyone with breathing trouble hardest. A contained patch is a problem to fix promptly, not a reason to panic or leave your home. More in is black mold dangerous?
How much does mold removal cost in Indiana?
Most home mold jobs in central Indiana run from a few hundred dollars for a small contained area to a few thousand for larger or structural work. The real drivers are how much material is affected, where it is, and what is causing the moisture. You get a written quote that matches the final invoice, with no surprise add-ons. See what mold remediation costs in Indiana.
Do I need a mold test, or can you just remove it?
If you can already see and smell the mold, you often do not need a test to start, you need it removed and the moisture fixed. Testing earns its keep when you are buying or selling a home, settling an insurance or legal question, or you suspect hidden mold you cannot see. We will tell you honestly which one you actually need.
Does homeowners insurance cover mold removal?
Sometimes. Insurance usually covers mold that results from a sudden, covered event like a burst pipe, and usually does not cover mold from long-term leaks or neglected moisture. Coverage and caps vary by policy, so check yours. We document the job clearly to help with a claim. More in does insurance cover mold?
How long does mold remediation take?
A typical home remediation runs one to three days. A small contained patch can be a single day, while larger jobs, heavy structural mold, or anything that needs the moisture source rebuilt will take longer. You get a realistic timeline up front, not a best-case guess.
What towns do you serve?
We are based in Greenfield and cover Hancock and Shelby County plus the east side of Indianapolis, including Shelbyville, New Palestine, McCordsville, Fortville, Cumberland, Pendleton, Fountaintown, and Anderson. For a big enough mold job, Bruce will travel across the state. Find your town here.
Are your inspections really free, and will you pressure me to buy?
Yes, the inspection is free, and no, there is no pressure. If the right fix is a fan and a dehumidifier, that is what we will tell you. We would rather earn your trust on the big job than scare you into a small one.
Do you handle radon and asbestos too?
Yes. Along with mold remediation and testing, we do radon testing and mitigation and asbestos removal, all licensed and by the book. Older homes often hide more than one of these, so it helps to have one local crew handle them together.
