Where most mold starts

Crawlspace mold
and encapsulation.Seal it, dry it, end the cycle.

The crawlspace is where a huge share of home mold begins. A dirt or vented crawlspace pulls in ground moisture that feeds mold and rises into your living space. We clear the mold and encapsulate the space so the cycle stops for good.

What encapsulation does

A sealed, dry crawlspace.

Encapsulation means sealing the crawlspace off from ground moisture. We remove the existing mold, then line the floor and walls with a heavy vapor barrier, seal the seams, and control the humidity. Instead of a damp dirt cave breathing moisture up into your home, you get a clean, dry, sealed space.

It is one of the most effective long-term mold fixes we do, because it kills the moisture source rather than just cleaning the symptom. It also helps with radon, energy bills, and that musty smell in the rooms above.

Field noteAbout half the air on your first floor came up from the crawlspace. Seal that space and you are cleaning the air you actually breathe.Bruce, the Mold Man

Straight answers

Common questions

What is crawlspace encapsulation?
Sealing the crawlspace from ground moisture with a heavy vapor barrier and humidity control, after removing any mold. It turns a damp space into a dry, sealed one.
Will encapsulation get rid of the musty smell upstairs?
Usually yes. A lot of that smell rises from the crawlspace. Seal and dry that space and the air in the rooms above improves.
Does it help with radon too?
It can. A sealed crawlspace is part of controlling radon entry, and it pairs well with a mitigation system if your levels are high.
