It is the first question most people ask, and the honest answer is: sometimes. What matters is what caused the mold.

Insurance generally cares less about the mold itself and more about what caused it. Mold that results from a sudden, accidental, covered event, a burst pipe, an overflowing appliance, certain storm damage, is often covered, because it stems from a peril your policy already protects against. Mold that results from long-term neglect, an ignored leak, ongoing humidity, deferred maintenance, is usually not covered, because insurers treat that as preventable.
Many policies cap mold coverage at a set dollar amount even when it is covered, and some exclude it unless you have added a specific endorsement. Read your policy for the words "mold," "fungi," and "water damage," and note any limits. If you are not sure, your agent can tell you exactly what your policy does.
We give you a clear, written assessment of what we found and what caused it, which is exactly the documentation insurers ask for. We cannot promise what your policy will pay, no contractor honestly can, but we can make sure you have the record you need. The free inspection is a good first step whether or not you end up filing.
Most jobs touch more than one of these. We handle them under one roof.
Tell us what you are seeing or smelling and we will set up a free inspection, then give you a straight answer and a plain quote in writing.
